How Verification Works

ElderTrust is not a lead-generation directory. Every provider we list has been checked against public records before they appear, and every listing shows exactly what has been verified — and what hasn't.

Verification levels

  • Unverified — a provider we're aware of, but have not yet checked.
  • Identity Verified — we've confirmed the individual is who they claim to be.
  • Business Verified — we've confirmed the business is legally registered and active.
  • Credential Verified — we've confirmed the professional license or credential is valid and in good standing.
  • EchoSafe Verified — the provider has passed every check above, including a review of public disciplinary records.

What every Trust Report covers

Each listing's Trust Report is built to answer the questions families ask us most often:

  • Is the license valid?
  • Are the credentials verified?
  • Is the business active?
  • How long has the provider been operating?
  • Are there any public disciplinary disclosures?
  • What should families know before hiring?

What verification is — and isn't

Verification reflects public records at the time they were checked. It is not a guarantee, endorsement, or substitute for your own due diligence. Read our full Disclaimer for details.
